I got to know from some questions in this section that there will be a lot of new names in Moto GP next season.Does anybody have more information about the matter. All I know is that Lorenzo will be one of them.Do you believe that any of these rookies can make a sensation and break in top 3 ???
I hope that they will make the races even more interesting :-))))

Last season, the only rookie was Sylvain Guintoli, but during the season he was joined by Anthony West, Kurtis Roberts and Chaz Davies.
2008 will see the arrival of four full time riders. First the double Superbike World Champion James Toseland (only new comer from SBK) and also three young and ambitious riders from the traditional field (125c and 250cc), Jorge Lorenzo (double 250cc World Champion), Alex De Angelis, and last Andrea Dovizoso.

I think Jorge Lorenzo or James Toseland have a shot at top 3 finish this year. Will be an exciting season.

Hey sunny! :)

Terminator said it all....

If I have to choose one of those riders to be in the top 3, it would definitely be Lorenzo. One of my main reasons to choose him is because he has that passion for winning. He wants to be first and he doesn't really care how it's gonna happen. The other reason is because he choose the good old Michelin tyres. I guess Rossi again made a bad choice and Lorenzo will be beating him almost every race! (I know how it sounds but I just don't believe in Rossi's luck...)

I do hope to see more of James in this season. He's gonna be one of my fav riders for 2008 :) and De Angelis has a pretty good shot in winning. Last year he missed the title because of bike problems (or something like that) so now with the bigger bike I can't see anyone stopping him! Even Pedrosa ;)

I'm seriously wondering what's going to happen. We have those new great riders and the old ones who are in their best shape! Can't wait for 2008!

I dont believe any of these new riders will break into the top ten let alone top three. Toseland is out of his league now! and when they get rid of that crappy traction control BS all these 250 guys will fall by the wayside as well. I cant wait until we give control back to the riders and not in the hands of elaborate electronics.....The races last year sucked the worst i can remember and I have been watching since 92.

Hey Sunny babe

It would be Toseland or Lorenzo most likely to be top five at the end of the season, and whilst I can see both of them taking podiums, I don't think they will take enought to become top three finishers.

Interesting question though - will check back at the end of the season!

Im hoping Dovi kicks in a few surprises. 1 rider teams have it hard (Haga my example ) less track time by definition. and a rookie too. but I think he is good enough to upset the apple cart. and I want to see him kick lorrenzo's ***. the whole season could be about in team fights. its going to be awesome.
