Yes, they do believe that. If Romney says otherwise, he is outright lying.
I used to be a Mormon. I converted to it. What can I say, it sounded like a good idea at the time. But, the more I studied, the worse it looked. Eventually, I quit the church, and had to take rather excessive measures to be taken off of the membership rolls of the Mormon church.
I simply cannot vote for a Mormon. I mean, how can anyone just blindly follow something like that? I mean, all religions take a leap of faith, but Mormonism doesn't require a leap of faith, it requires you to dive straight off a cliff and hope something slows you down before you crash into the bottom of the ravine.
And keep in mind that this comes from a guy who believes that God handed down Torah to Moses on Mt. Sanai. I am willing to take that leap of faith, and have taken that leap.

Here is the truth, from a Mormon:
Yes, the LDS Church teaches that we are all spirit children of our Heavenly Father. That includes Lucifer, who was cast out of Heaven for defying God's plan for His children and became Satan. So, in that sense, yes, we believe that Christ and Satan were spirit brothers.
As for Scourge, I don't know where you got your "facts" about Mormonism, but seriously dude, you need to get a new source.
"-- God has a body of "flesh and bone", and exists in a specific point in space."
This is the one thing you got right about our beliefs.
-- If you're a good Mormon, you get to be a God of your own planet someday
Close, but not quite. We believe if you are a good person you can become as God is. Being a member of our church in this life is not a requirement, as we believe all men shall be judged based on the light and knowledge we had when we made the decisions we made.
Everything else you said that I didn't cover....patently false.
Also, just so you are aware. I am not writing this to defend Romney in any way. If he really said the the LDS church didn't teach that Christ and Lucifer were both spirit children of God, then he lied, point blank. Of course, I've not heard or read anywhere that he did say this, so if you've got your source handy, I'd love to see it.
Oh, and as a Mormon, I'm still not necessarily inclined to vote for him. There are better candidates in my mind, though I haven't made my final decision, and probably won't until the time comes to vote.
One final note....your links don't work.

well what is interesting is that when you point out some "interesting bits" in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, or the Koran... which seem to contradict what is being said.. or has some negative impact.... People just say that you are misinterpreting the "true" meaning.
Based on what you have shown it does look like Jesus and Satan are related in some way... So Huckabee would be correct. But the media is sooo horrible and bias and sensationalist... almost to the point of being useless.

It is misleading to state that Mormons believe Satan and Jesus are brothers without further explanation. Mormons believe that God the Father created all things, so He created both Jesus (God the Son), Lucifer (Satan), and all mankind. Jesus and Lucifer are "brothers" in the sense that God the Father created both of them, in the same sense that Hitler, Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, and I are all "brothers." It doesn't imply any special affinity or friendship between Jesus and Lucifer. Obviously, they are on opposite sides of the whole good/evil divide.
The Mormon Church itself has clarified this issue: "Like other Christians, we believe Jesus is the divine Son of God. Satan is a fallen angel. As the Apostle Paul wrote, God is the Father of all. That means that all beings were created by God and are His spirit children. Christ, however, was the only begotten in the flesh, and we worship Him as the Son of God and the Savior of mankind."
By the way, "Mormon Doctrine" is not a Church-published book. It is not doctrinally binding in Mormonism. Also, carm.org is a very anti-Mormon, bigoted site.

Mr. Huckabee had a chance to say something positive, like 'don't they believe in Jesus, too?' or to decline to say anything. He chose to mention something that out of context is controversial. We can debate the truth of the comment until the cows come home. The 'truth' that is incontrovertible is that Mr. Huckabee is only too happy to make religion a campaign issue.

Criticizing too much the beliefs of Mormons does not behove well on the part of HuckaBee. He can't be doing anything just for the sake of getting nominated. People in high positions should know how to be tolerant to other faiths.Otherwise how are they different from religious zealots

Romney was truthful when he denied that Mormonism teaches that Jesus and Satan are brothers. The fact is, they teach that Jesus and LUCIFER are brothers!
Here's what else they teach:
-- Jesus was the Archangel Michael before coming to Earth.
-- God has a body of "flesh and bone", and exists in a specific point in space.
-- If you're a good Mormon, you get to be a God of your own planet someday.
-- The Godof this planet is "Adam-God".
-- Once you're fully initiated into the Temple, they give you an undergarment that you're supposed to wear the rest of your life-- even when you take a bath. Imagine the smelly, ragged article that Mitt must be wearing under his business suit.
The more you study Mormonism, the nuttier it gets.

Many come against Huckabee because he is a Christian. They are afraid of him. It isn't fair, but it's to be expected.

Separation of church and state, the president needs to check his religion at the door and do what's best for our country to prosper and be safe. That means a liberal society, were people are free to do what they want, when they want, and not be held back by something created centuries ago to control the masses!
