I could be wrong, but I feel like all four sentences have errors.

a. They ARE staying there now.
b. She wantS a promotion.
c. If I WERE younger, I'd pursue another line of work.
d. We had SUNG that hymn last week.

a) They are staying there now.
b) She wants (wanted) a promotion.
c) If I were younger, I'd pursue another line of work.
d) We had sung that hymn last week.

They are all grammatically incorrect with regard to verbs.

a. missing a part of the verb (are)
b. missing third-person -s
c. missing subjunctive mood (were)
d. wrong past participle (sang used instead of sung)
