I don't think the third formula is correct. Maybe it's CH3COONa (sodium acetate) or C2H3O2Na. That is what normally should result. If so, the equation is balanced:
CH3COOH + NaOH = CH3COONa + H2O.

CH3COOH + NaOH = CH3COONa + H2O
ethanoic aicd + sodium hydroxide = salt + water

The carboxylic acid reacts with alkali to form a salt and water, as simple as that.

CH3COOH is the organic way to write the formula for acetic acid. NaC2H3O2 is the inorganic way to write sodium acetate. A previous answer (correctly) indicated that you had an incorrect formula, the correct formula being the sodium acetate one just above in my answer.

What grade are you in cause this is that advanced balancing with Acids and Bases where you have to add like Waters and hydroxides. I can't remember how to do it so I'm just not gonna try and explain it.

I honestly don't know...............I seriously sat here trying but I couldn't get it done, are you sure you have the right equation ?
