Derek Jeter, people carry on like he's one of the best to ever lace up a pair of cleats.

Terry Bradshaw, anybody could have won with the defense he had.

LeBron James, he'll never be Michael Jordan no matter how hard he tries.

Tracy McGrady, he's always hurt.

A Rod, he can't hit in October.

Roger Clemens, his last half of his career is all tainted.

Cal Ripken Jr, he set the consecutive games record and he still didn't hit 500 home runs.

Terrry Bradshaw... and Tracy McGrady

Lance Armstrong....? Do you know how many times that they get tested for cycling? He has never failed a test even though the French have it out for him. Also, If it was so easy to win with a team's help then how come everyone doesn't emulate that winning formula. I am not saying that they didn't help him, but what he does in the mountains is amazing.

Anyone that thinks that Favre is overrated has only seen him play the last couple of years. At age 38 he is having a great season. Is he what he used to be? No, but I would only take a handful of Qbs over him.

Here are his stats:
Favre: 440Tds, 288 ints, 61556 yards, 61% in 16 years

Marino: 420 tds, 252 Ints, 61361 yards, 59% in 17 years

Elway: 300 tds, 226 ints, 51475 yards, 57% in 16 years

Fouts: 254tds, 242 ints, 43,040 yards, 59% in 15 years

Bradshaw: 212 tds, 210 ints, 27989 yards, 52% in 14 years.... I know that the Pitt was a running team but these numbers are atrocious especially with Swann and Stallworth.

SO DON'T GIVE ME ANY OF THE FAVRE IS OVERRATED BS!

Joe Montana: It ain't hard to be great with Jerry Rice to throw to and an excellent defense.

Terry Bradshaw: It wouldn't have mattered who was taking the snaps at QB for the Steelers in the '70s, the defense won all those Super Bowls.

LeBron James: Over paid, over hyped and he'll never win 6 titles.

Kobe Bryant: He's done nothing without Shaq.

The Home Run: Home Runs and their meaning have been diminished by the steroid era.

UFC: It's not much better than WWE.

The most overrated current player is Devin Hester. I don't think any of those juicers people are listing are really overrated now that everybody knows they're steroid cheats.

Talk about baseball players, all the derby horses are overrated and overvalued. So, I will go with "Street Sense" as being the most overrared and you can throw the jockey "Calvin Borel" right in there with him.

Even though this is the Baseball section; I will have to go Football...Broadway Joe Namath...career completion percentage at 50%, not good, threw more INT's than TD's most years of his career and really only had one great season but is immortalized for one gauruntee!

What's with all you people using naked men as avatars??

The most over-rated is Cal Ripken Jr. Sure, he set a record for most consecutive games played. But his overall numbers are not world beating. Nolan Ryan also is over-rated.

In football it is Favre. He has had a long career - which is why his numbers are where they are. Plus, he is the all time interception leader.

Clemens - without steroids where would he be?
Clemens was 6-6 prior to taking roids that season, he went on a 14 game winning steak, after injecting, what a rush it must have been enough to make you want to keep doing it i would guess.

Jackie Robinson

NOW BARE WITH ME

He was an above-average (not great) ballplayer who wouldn't be remembered if he didn't break the color barrier. Which brings me to my next reason. People credit him with being the first black Major League ballplayer. He wasn't the first black ballplayer. Moses Fleetwood Walker is widely regarded as the first black Major League ballplayer. Jackie was the first black ballplayer the Majors had see in about 60 years, but most people talk about him as if he were the pioneer of black ballplayers in the Majors.

SHAQ!

Always has been in my opinion. Anyone who is 7'2" (or close to it) and over 300lbs should be able to push their weight around in the land and dunk over people. Granted, he has improved on his free-throw shooting, but it is still sub par. Sure he's a powerhouse but he has little to no skill 5 foot or further from the hoop.
