Some people take it personally when a writer misspells a word or two. Misspellings do not irk me as much as the people who are attempting to change the way we communicate by using text abbreviations and using z' instead of s's, like boyz. Our language has been in place for a long time and it offends me to see people desicrate it. Is it so hard to communicate properly? It just shows a lack of respect to others when one skips proper english. It is lazy and foolish to many.
We all make mistakes in spelling and we should be more forgiving of others when they err.

I put a question down recently, and the first answerer only criticized my spelling of Toshiba (I think I spelt it Tosheba).
So I looked at his questions, and he was very upset about wrong spellings, so I answered one of his questions, pointing out a couple of errors of his own, he had put 'there' when he should have put 'they're', and 'plus two' when he should have put 'plus too'.
I think they just want everyone to know that they can spell, makes them feel good, but if you look at there questions and answers, you can usually find some mistake.

I've noticed how some people pick up on people's spelling. I'm terrible at hitting the wrong pooter key..if people get spellings wrong it doesn't bother me in the slightest. We can't all be good at everything.

I've often wondered the same thing. We all make mistakes after all, that's what makes us human, or so I thought... Obviously some of those folks in Yahoo land, have nothing better to do than criticise. Shame of them...
