Life is God's choice. If we didn't commit adultry or fornicate, like the bible says the choice would be limited quite a bit. For those who are married I think it is only ok if there is an endangerment to the mom's life. For rape, insest? Between that person and God, I couldn't judge. If someone not ready to have a baby has sex and gets pregnant there are other options, adoption for instance. If the woman is afraid of getting fat or letting others know she is pregnant she should have not been doing that in the first place. She should start now to be responsible. For people not sure what God thinks? Why take the chance. I believe this is murder. A little harsh? Some time the truth hurts. Society has a habit of lessening sin to make ourselves feel better. so liberal. Pray about it with an open heart and you will see. As for humane? Give me a break. I don't think it's humane to kill period.

I don't think "favoring" abortion should be the question.
But I feel that controlling one's reproduction is a sacred and ancient right that should be protected. Women will always have abortions, but if the "moral majority" has their way, these women will stagger into emergency rooms with their intestines hanging out their vaginas and hemorrhage to death, rather than having the procedure performed in a safe, legal environment.
There is no such thing as the right to live off the body of another, this is absurd. The government's forcing millions of women to remain pregnant against their will would constitute "involuntary servitude" which is un-Constitutional, by the Thirteenth Amendment.

I wouldnt say I favor it, but i favor the right to choose. In a perfect world it would not be necessary. People would know how to protect themselves and prevent abortion. I favor birth control and contraceptives being available to everyone. Nobody WANTS to have an abortion. And, contrary to popular belief, its NOT always a teen or a young adult that gets "knocked up" from being careless. Being someone who has volunteered for planned parenthood, I have seen women of all ages, all races, all kinds of situations that I couldnt even say who was the stereotypical person seeking abortion.
But, heres something to think about. What about all the babies that are abandoned by their mothers? Why isnt anyone bringing that into the spotlight? These human babies, already born, are being ignored while people are picketing planned parenthood. These innocent children, some with mental disablilities, are living (right now! not 9 months from now!) in extremly horrible situations, yet you are worried about the start of a living tissue inside of someone you've never met. If you are worried about a childs "right to live" then why not adopt a special needs child that was left in a dumpster? That to me is valuing life far more then picketing a planned parenthood with a sign. (yeah, real effective...)
Its an arguement that no one can agree on, when life begins. Being non-religious, I dont feel that life begins at conception. (potential for life, sure). But either way you cant base laws on your own personal beliefs when this country is based on diversity and separation of church and government.

Like Paranoid A, I favor freedom of choice and, thus, support a person's right to have an abortion. But I'm against those who use abortion as a form of birth control considering there are much better ways to prevent pregnancies.

I am male I really do not think I have a right to tell a female what she can or can not do with her body, many may say that if a female is pregnant that the father should have some rights, I say that the father had a right to chose before hand whether or not to sleep with a woman that would abort an inconvenient pregnancy not to insist on rights after the fact.

I favor a GOOD SEX EDUCATION, and information about condoms!
Do you realize, that they will show commercials on television for male enhancement, but they will NOT show commercials for condoms? Except for MTV!
How insane is that?
Condoms, and other products for birth control will prevent pregnancy, thereby negating the necessity for abortions.
But the religious factor in this country, has more influence! THEY say, info about birth control, and condoms, "gives permission, for sexual intercourse"".
Well people, you know what? People>> adults, and teenagers, don't need permission, to have sex! They are doing it all over the place. And THAT included, the religious people who don't want condoms, advertised!!
How DUMB is that?
Abortion is about choice!!!
The woman's body is hers, to decide for! NOT YOURS, and NOT MINE! And, it is her situation to deal with.
And the fetus is tissue, and HAS no rights.

Yes.
There are enough unwanted children in the world and pregnancy is dangerous for women.
Humane is a relative term without much meaning.
No. The fetus does not have a right to life. Persons have the right to life. Fetuses are not legally persons. And given that they depend entirely on their mother for life. Its her call. Not mine, not yours.

No I don't favor it or see how it's humane. As humans we all have rights and living is one of them....Murder is also illegal. But there are people who view this completely opposite of me and back their opinion up with good reasons as well. Although I can't be persuaded to agree, I can understand where they're coming from too.

I never favour abortion. I always believe that the baby have the right to come to this world, if the parents go for abortion, they are taking away the right of the baby to live in this world

First of all, I believe those who were not born with a uterus are not privileged to an opinion on this question.
Second, what about the rights of those already born? To say the unborn have equal rights, maintains those already here do not. Heady question.
