Yes, I'm affraid it is true. Benazir Bhutto is dead. She was the victim of a bomb and gun attack in Rawalpindi earlier today. This is a very dark day for Pakistani politics.

I just did some searching on-line, and it appears that it is true. Sadly, I do not know if the perpetrators can (or will) be held accountable.
RIP Benazir Bhutto

Yes. She died today 1.16 GMT in Rawalpindi, having apparently been shot during a suicide bomber attack. How will the perpetrators be held accountable? It's down to the Pakastani police to discover who they are first and that will take time.

It is true, and seems that the reports are that she was shot first and then a suicide bomber struck. There was also an attack on the other ex prime minister as well today. Word on that is there is some dead and injured but the man survived the attack.

Yes. And I figured it would have been a matter of time before she was assassinated, since she has been getting a lot of press lately. :-(

Yes. And i won't be surprised that this will lead to the end of Musharraf's reign in Pakistan.
