i know how to make fish's water (getting rid of chemicals in their water) but how do i make tropical fish water, is it just normal water but warmer? do i add any type of salt??? also if its just normal freshwater (but warm) will they still breed? THANKYOU

Add dechloronator to get rid of the chlorine and try to match the temp to that in the tank. (use a kettle to heat some of the water and mix it with cold tap water) That's it.

Get another female or 2. Livebearers like swordtails shouldn't be paired up. The male will stress the female to death.

Livebearers will breed no matter what you do - just you try to stop them!!

Dechlorinated tap water will be just fine. You will need a heater in the tank to maintain tropical temperatures. Unless you live in the tropics.
1 tsp.(5 ml.) per gallon salt (aquarium salt,not table salt) is OK,but not necessary.
Yes,if the water is clean,and the tank has been cycled properly (this takes a few weeks),your fish will breed.
One last item,one male to one female is not a good idea,there should be three females per one male.

After you condition the water bring the temp to 75-80 and that is freshvtropical water if u want you can sprinkle some salt which will help the gill
