Assuming, of course, that you can still walk.

I hate it when buses just jump out at you like that!

The 1st thing you want to do is inform the police. It is a legal requirement in the UK that you stop when you are involved in any accident that causes damage. The driver of the bus would be charged with leaving the scene of an accident, which is quite serious. Did you get witnesses? Did you get the bus registartion number? If your car has obviously been hit by a bus (ie the paint etc that is left on your car) that will help as the insurance company can match it to the paint used by arriva. If you have the registration number, Arriva records would show the bus was repaired. I would also contact your insurance ASAP and let them deal with it. Finally phone arriva and tell them you intend to report their driver for failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Well I'm assuming the bus comes off best in that one. I'd say you should buy the bus driver a nice bottle of wine and pay for everyone's tickets on the bus. Then wave nonchalantly from the back of the ambulance and say "My friends, another day".

Never hit anything that didn't hit me first. Except for that bridge. But I was curious about the front-crash test rating on my car.
