I always go with diarrhea or migraine. most people have had both so at least you can get some sympathy and make it to work the next day no questions asked. my co-worker had anal warts once and had to get them removed with a lazer. he said he had to wear pads to work for a little while after that. i would've just stayed home.

I just say I've been kidnapped at gunpoint or that there's an early-bird sale on toaster strudel that I am not willing to miss. I know I'm too beautiful to be fired and plus I might share stories about my heroic escape when/if i return...I'm not too likely to share my toaster strudel though

Diarreah is the only one they will not question. This is because its an embarassing thing to say you have whether or not you actually have it. it's so embarrassing to admit to that they generally just assume you are telling the truth about it because who would lie about having diarreah?

Best one I've heard was last week on the girls rang in and said she couldn't come in because she couldn't walk and was having injections in her feet...aliment still unknow...however she did make a full recovery :)
