But don't add the important info? for example, asking what is on tv at xmas, but not stating where they live, what to get a best friend as a gift, but not giving info about the friend, etc. don't they realise they will get much clearer and more helpful info if they just add a few more lines?.

I have guessed that they are thinking out loud, or rather by typing. Sometimes, I have guessed people are just letting us know what is in their mind. Maybe they don't have someone around them to have a conversation with, so we provide some feedback that is otherwise missing. It's my pleasure and I don't need the specifics always. Don't change a thing.

yeah, i get your drift. got me staring blur too once in a while. i suppose they wanted to post their question on a forum that has not been opened up by the Yahoo! guys yet.

"Hey Yahoo! guys!! When y'all gonna open up the psychic forum in here!!!? Lotsa people need their help!! And we ain't no psychic"

PS: at least give them a link or a psychic hotline/toll free number would ya?

i've often wondered the same thing myself usually I just skip onto the next. Maybe they're not good at typing and don't want to take the time or perhaps they think we're all crystal ball gazers.

because they don't care about the answer, they want to move to the next question and get the 2 points
and to be more specific as you are asking... to get more points and move to the next level
and I live in Canada and have a swimming pool and my car needs an oil change... and merry Xmas

Yea, but you also have to remember that quite a few people don't read questions that have a novel for details, let alone answer them.

I dont know why people do what they do and some people are that great on details or think that they wont matter on the question.

hehe. you seem to be guilty of that yourself. your question is not so specific as well. maybe you should rephrase your question this way: why don't people in Y! Answers don't ask specific questions and give away all their private information? you know, people are not robots. we don't need to speak each word to be understood. sometimes, even silence could mean a whole lot.

I think so. But then, I guess we're two people who actually read the question...go figure.
