senators and congressmen in their 70's or 80's don't worry about bills, health care or any of the day to day things that
matter to most people. they have all the wealth and power they
will ever need and I would really love for them to have to use
social securtiy for their health needs when they step down!!!!
also do most people really think you need to be old to be smart
and be able to do a good job running this country????? does anyone remember JFK seems to me he did a very good job!!

In my opinion, it does not matter if a person is millionair or not. Sometimes a millionair may make more impartial decision because he already is satisfied with money and all comfort so he would like to do something good for those who are poor and in need.
What is more important is the attitude and honesty of a person and his passion towards making a better living for all the people and trying to bridge the gap between rich and poor. A middle class person can do a good impartial job if he is really honest and feels to correct the system. But if he is not honest then he is more likely to start accumulating the wealth to match the status with other congressman and senator. Congressman and senators mind and attitude needs to change. What everybody needs to understand is that there is not many benefits of being a rich person. It just tries to take you more away from the rest.
I also believe age is not all that important. In fact older people's faith and habits (even if it is bad) are so deep that it really hard to change even if it is for the good.

They are not the only ones that have it made. There children also are financially set & will have the connection they need to be very succesful in life. Money & coruption is all in politics. And as time goes on this will get worse unless the lower & middle class do something about it. But we only have two choices to vote for. And both of those choices are corupt & will look out for the ones with money over us.
We need a new party, one that takes care of the backbone of America. Without us nothing in the country will work. Not even the Golden Spoon that feeds the politians children.

JFK came from one of the richest families in America.
He almost got us in a war with Russia, or didn't you read about the Cuban missile crisis?
Most people in Congress didn't come from poor families because to be a congressman means to live in a glass house. Normal average Americans couldn't take the stress and pressure that people in Congress, the President or the Supreme Court, take every hour of the day. Inquiring news people are always being nosy into everything, including what they ate for lunch! The people that work the government have to learn to ignore that stuff, they have to keep on going on and unless you are raised to learn to take it, or at least trained to, you won't last 4 years.
To me those jobs, have to be the most demanding, demeaning and stressful jobs there is.. even police and fireman get days off!
These guys are watched when they are on vacation, trailed on days off.. just to watch their feet slip.. Remember when they used to harass that one President (Ford) for tripping all the time? I mean big deal he tripped a few times it shouldn't have been on the national news but it was all the time.

I read that 62 of the 100 US Senators are millionaires. The interesting thing is the 7 richest US Senators are all Democrats. Most of them are out of touch with those of us who have to work for a living.

Agree.......there are a lot of old peeps running the USA. I think you're right..........but they won't step down because they have it made where they are. I think younger people would be great, we just have to get the old ones out. Even if it were more balanced with old and young.

Vote for Mike Huckabee then. He's the ONLY guy running for president that is middle class. The rest are millionaires.

JFK was a millionaire living off of his dad's money. If you can remember him, then you are old too.
