Hee Hee! Your Mum will still be telling you what to do when you're 40! It's as Mum's job! I'm 33 and a Mother of 2. My kids are only 8 years and 9 months and I think I'll probably be the same when they are bigger. It's only because we care so much and we've been doing it since the day you were born, it's hard to let go! I don't have my Mum anymore and I'd give anything to hear her tell me off for spending too much or wearing the wrong thing. Just appreciate the fact that she's still around and cares enough to notice what you're doing. You'll probably be the same when you have your own children! Trust me!

lol! I love you! You know, your mom just wants to make sure you knew that. Take it from her, she is your mom and she will always do that, if she hasn't stopped doing that by now. At least it's better than not showing any interest at all. But I know how you feel. My mom doesn't tell me what to do anymore, but my dad still tells me what to do, how to do it, how many times to do it and when to do it! lol! Even when I drive and he is the passenger. He even tells me when to shift gears! lol! And I am 38! Grrr. Hugs to you. Wish I could give you 10 stars for your Q!

Yeah I hate it too. I'm 23 and whenever my mom pulls out a "stunt" like that, I say it back at her, "Do you know why your children suck until this very day? and do you know why they are still acting this way? That is YOUR MISTAKE and it doesn't work by just babbling it here!". Those were my exact words, not too nasty and no swearing, cos I didn't want to hurt her. Lol.

She used to when she was still babysitting my kids for me while I worked. But now that my boyfriend went to third shift he watches the kids in the morning and takes them to school. I fired my mom as mean as that sounds, but if I didn't do everything she said she would either threaten to quit babysitting or give me the silent treatment. Now, I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I think she always will. They both do. But I understand now that they´ve been a long time taking care of me so they can´t just stop. They´ll always be like that. She complains sometimes her parents still treat her like a little girl :)

Sometimes! I'm 28 and she seems to have trouble grasping that occassionally! The funniest is when she says "You know I'll support you no matter what, but I think you should......."

A lot of the time I think it's just because she worries about me though!

My mom still calls me to find out what she should do. She's 50 and I've been raising her since I was 14.

Mum's will always be like that. They've been telling you what to do from day one. Its a hard thing for them to let go and realise your all grown up!
