The place has been around for nearly 90 years and will teach you how to make beer, then of course try to sell you a bunch of crap. But heck, if you find that you enjoy the craft, you'll need to buy the supplies right!?!?

Perhaps, but I think you'd be better off just contacting a local homebrew supply shop. They are generally very helpful to newcomers and many often have demonstrations.

Actuall I looked it up and you guys have what's called a "BOP" or Brew On Premise. You simply pay to brew some beer and they basically do all of the crappy work and you get to brew with their stuff.
