He put it on my finger while I was asleep and I woke up Christmas eve morning and was shocked! Then asked if I would marry him while we were snuggled in bed. I'm very excited! Still in shock!!! Thank you!

We have been talking about the plans for a while and a few weeks ago he asked if I would be upset if I didn't have my ring for Christmas 'cause it was taking a while to be made.
I see a few DVD-shaped packages under the tree and figure it hadn't arrived so he got me a couple small things to open on Christmas day.
We were with his family and everyone takes turns opening their gifts in front of everyone else. Couples go together so we're sitting there and I open my DVD's. He opens all his stuff then says "wait, there's another box for you to open".
I knew what it was immediately!
I opened the box up and say to him "isn't there a question that goes with this" - he doesn't answer, one of his sisters says he has to put it on my finger. He does.
I pestered him about 2 or 3 more times "aren't you going to ask the question that goes with my Christmas present" and then he finally asks me to marry him, with nobody around.
LOL. That will be a story to tell everyone.
My ring is a beautiful 2.5 carat cushion cut with checkerboard surface aquamarine stone with diamonds on the sides. He picked it out, but I had some input because I really didn't want a diamond center-stone. He knows I really liked the cushion cuts and he saw a ring with the checkerboard surface and just loved that so he put the two together into my ring.

Been married now over 2 years, together nearly 5 years.
My husband proposed 3 months after we met (we went ring shopping a month after we started dating) at a pre-Christmas tree charity event in front of a room full of people.
My ring is platinum, 1 carat round diamond in the middle with a total of 8 channel set side diamonds, 4 on each side. My wedding band has 9 channel side diamonds.

I was proposed to last christmas. My fiance and father talked on the porch which at that time I thought they were talking about how he was going to take care of me not about marriage.
Then we all opened the present and my father had announced that i was opening my present.
So i kinda knew what was going on, but I still coulnd't help it, I still cried and was shaky.
My man got down on one knee and in front of my entire family he asked me to marry him. I said yes he got up and kissed me....AAAAAAAWWWWWw.
Yes it kicked in but then it might be unbelievable again when we actually get married. Right now cant afford it thought we could but we cant, so we will wait.

My proposal was good. He proposed to me on Christmas Day 2006 under the tree, on the floor, surrounded in wrapping paper from my son's gifts and clothes and hair everywhere. It was sweet.

He got on one knee under the edge of the Christmas tree with a tear streaming down his face, it was so romantic. The ring is gorgeous.

he gave it to me on the 20th but had an iPod engraved asking "will you marry me" then got on one knee.
the ring is so perfect for my finger :)
I have NOT taken in yet that we are getting married, we plan on june 15th '08
I haven't been sleeping good though :(
