Do you know anyone that's felt relief when a loved one committed suicide?

Question

Since some people commit suicide to escape their agonising depression, does anyone feel glad that the person has finally found peace? Surely the person who committed suicide doesn't want their mental pain to spread to others.

I'm wondering if anyone's actually felt relieved for them?

I don't think relief would be the right emotion......

I would feel a lot of empathy and sorrow for that person.
There are a lot of resources out there to help people with depression. It's a sad thing when people do not get the help they need to overcome there problems. Life is always worth living.

Lets not be morbid. It the person felt relief then it was not a LOVE Done who committed suicide, it was a HATED one. Suicide is not a solution to anything. Besides being a sin, it just creates more pain and anguish for those left behind. I see it as the culmination of cowardliness and stupidity.

I could never feel relief, for someone who has taken their own life...It is a sin, and I would surely feel so sad, that they never had anyone to help them pull out of their horrific sadness...I have heard people say that they knew that the person was hopeless, and hoped that this would be the end of their suffering, but I can't agree with that, personally

my 16 yr old brother commited suicide when i was 18.....to answer this is NO i did not feel relief....this is a terrible question. i think i felt almost everything but relief or anything related to happyness

YES my wife was happy when i commit suicide as it made her life a lot better as she didn't have to look after me all the time for everything

suicide is disgusting!
no - and i seriously hope people don't feel its good.
they can find peace other ways!!!
