Bless you my dear, one song is plenty. By the time this old lady sits through an elaborate musical pageant, several bad speeches, and lengthy original vows, this old lady's teeth are about to float away. Save the speeches, bad poetry, and musical presentations for the reception, where people are free to wander off to the powder room. Or just plain wander off. Remember, it's about showing your guests a good time not about being the star of an amateur theatrical.

Before the processional starts, my friend, Charlie is going to sing "Hanging By A Moment" by Lifehouse, which is supposed to signal the guest to find their seats. Then my bridal party and I will walk in to "Making Memories of Us" I wanted to keep the ceremony under 45 minutes, so that's why the one song.

I'm not doing a separate song for my personal processional. We are going with "The Closer I get to You" by Roberta Flack, and to differentiate when I enter in, I'm having the musicians do a key change...that's all. No reason to totally shift gears...but a key change I think will be just enough pomp and circumstance for the moment.

I had two songs- but my string quartet screwed up, they didn't transition between songs right away, so I ended up walking up the aisle in silence for about 30 seconds (felt like hours!).
As the bride, you should have your own song. It's probably the only time in your life that you will make a grand entrance like this- why not make the most of it?
Can you have some other things happen during the first song, to stretch it out? Seating of the mothers? Lighting of the candles on the unity candle?

Hi Chesney:
Keep it as you want it! That is what my daughter-in-law did. She had the usual Canon in D....but it was played very softly for the bridesmaids then a little louder when she came down the aisle. It was perfect! No one really notices those things...believe me. Keep the music YOU want.
Good luck!

When I got married I had my wedding party walk down the aisle to the entire song of This is the Moment. I then came down to Here comes the Bride. I personally think you would want a separate song for the wedding party and a song for you.

Is YOUR day, so if you wanna walk down the aisle using The Macarena, that what you should do.
Im using "Canon" for the bridesmaid and my entrance.
I dont see anything wrong with using just 1 song

We plan to have two. One for the bridal party to come down too and one for me and my son to walk down to.

Just one, the attendants and my husband and I all walked up the aisle to the same song.
What you are planning sounds fine!

Hey if that is what you want, then do it!!!!! You don't NEED to do anything- doesn't everyone say that this is YOUR day and you should do what you want? :) If you want it, go ahead- I think it's a great idea!!
