I call this, "resetting my body clock." I was forced to do this quickly. I wasn't at all use to getting up REAL EARLY in the morning. I got an extremely GREAT, don't miss this, fantastic new job. Problem?? I HAD to get up 4:30 in the morning. I WOULD be in bed by 10 at night, even if I had to lay there awake for awhile. Maybe I didn't sleep to much at first. AT 4:30, I got up, not wanting to. The new money prodded me onward. In about a month, my new body clock was set, and I awoke without the alarm clock. I was NEVER LATE!! Those way bigger paychecks really motivated me!

I'd get into the habit of waking up at the time that I have to, regardless of how late I sleep.
For example, I had to get up at 6:30am. I'd set my alarm for that time every morning; doesn't matter how late I slept the previous night. My body would tire out early and thus I could get to bed early. It didn't take long for my body clock to reset itself.
Or you could just try to go to bed one hour earlier than the previous night throughout the week until you get used to the routine.

All the answers (first two) has never worked for me.
What I have tried was staying up as late as I possibly could each and every day until I reached the appropate times of sleep and wake up.
My mom interrupts the process though so I always have to start over.
(I made it to 12:00 noon the last time before my mom messed it up again by waking me up.)
