I've been downloading a few movies, and whilst some with playback through media player, others won't. They are usually .avi. Really annoying when it takes so longer to download.

As you know that there are a lot of formats up to now. In order to play all formats, I am proposing the best of software is able to play almost of format.

This is the latest and greatest release of famous ACE Mega CoDecS Pack.
In this codec pack you will find plenty of useful CoDecS (CoderS/DeCoderS), Media Player FilterS, Media Players and other UtilitieS. Also I added Authoring ToolS for video watchning, audio and video processing. In Add-On Pack you can found Authoring ToolS for content creation.

Please download it at http://www.cdr-zone.com/software/codecs/download_ace_mega_codecs_pack.html

Once you install it, you don't need to be worried about avi formats or any more.

If it's possible, then probably you should get them in a different format, or convert them using something thats free, like XviD4PSP (or look for freeware video converters on google). It might work then. Or maybe you need to look on the internet for avi codecs, like DivX and, probably XviD.

I suggest try using another program like VLC for an example to try to play some movies that doesn't always play in media player.
Note that if your torrenting movies illegally than theres also a good chance that those files are corrupt/ viruses which is a good reason not to do stuff like this illegally. XD
