... then why are there people who say they have been to hell and came back?
There are even little Christian documentaries about this that people send me all the time when I ask if hell is real. The people in those videos say they've been to hell, came back, and they converted to Jesus. Could you explain this to me? If you can, how is that fair for other people who haven't come back but went to this so-called hell?

The videos I speak of actually talk about people who have had 'near-death' experiences in their hospital beds where they have supposedly visited hell, which looked like a very fiery place. They could hear screaming and everything.

The records of mortal going to hell are special circumstances. Supposedly some saints were able to leave their body and their souls given entrance to purgatory and hell AND actually suffer the very punishments therein and came back to record their experiences. Try reading a book on lives of saints. St. Theresa comes to mind. Also, the book Purgatory have many examples.
I've read a lot of them when I was a seminarian.

Well you are correct the hell story is against love, which is Gods most dominant quality. When Adam and Eve died, the bible did not say they went to hell and suffered. What the bible does say when a person dies, their thoughts perish and they are conscious of nothing at all. Yeah, its that simple. Which is why Christians have hope of a resurrection. So some point in the future, dead ones will be alive again. There are 9 recorded resurrections in the bible.
Hell is the grave, which is why Job wanted to go there, not to be burned but to escape Gods anger or wrath. Likewise in the book of Revelation, why would God put a place of fire hell, in to the lake of fire? This does not make any sense to the context of what hell is is wrong. Hell is the underworld, which is a belief that a soul goes on living. Hell is a pagan and Babylon type belief. It dismisses why people need Jesus resurrection example.

alot of these people may have dreams of hell. it is a wake up call. they did not actually go there. it is Gods way of saying wake up and find the truth. God says in the quran that unbelievers will find hell as their eternal abode. we believe some muslims will be sent to hell but possibly later put in paradise as an act of mercy from God just because they were muslim, but some wont.even if they were straight and good sometimes they might have had bad thoughts or did a small thing that seemed no big deal but really was earning them hell. most of the christians you see possibly do have images of hell because they arent on the right path and God is warning them of their possible future. giving them a chance to find the right religion before it is too late

God can give warnings. Also he knows how everyone will turn out and what needs to happen to change someone's life around. If what ever he does doesn't change a person then he's not even going to attempt to send them to hell jsut to come back and say I went to hell and I liked it! Anyone who says that hasn't but is or was possessed.

I am assuming you are referring to near-death experiences. Perhaps these people did see hell, and were given a second chance at life on the earth and everlasting life. I know of someone personally who had a near-death occurance, and says he saw the torment of hell. He came back and was given a second chance at life.

Sorry Chris however the respond is a brilliant fats no. no longer in accordance to the Christian bible. After God passes judgement onto a soul it extremely is destined to spend eternity in the two the lake of hearth or in heaven or on the hot earth (Jerusalem). Did I spell that actual? The purpose is to be saved by the thought that Jesus' loss of life presented forgiveness of our sins through fact he grew to become into God's purely begotten Son. Then to be baptised and starting to be a clean creature. yet after that it extremely is considerable that we grow to be worth of God's mercy for how we are residing our lives as a testomony of our like to him. it is so user-friendly as i will positioned it. i could say stable success yet that ain't the way it extremely works. So could God bless you.

I think they just use the word hell as a metaphor for what they have gone through in life. Like those veteran soldiers from 'Nam. Most of them would tell you that they have gone, seen and been to Hell.

Not according to the Bible. However, near death experiences have shed some light on hell- for those that apparently is wasnt their time to go yet- and got it right.

I've been to Nirvana, and I'm not all peaceful. I haven't been to "Hell", but both of these towns are in Michigan, so I guess Michigan is the spiritual capital of the world... right?
Christians that say that they have been to "hell" are speaking metaphorically - any one who actually believes that they went to the metaphysical "Hell" is delusional.
