Ok I understand that the water many places in Mexico may contain bacteria or virus's or something that may make you sick. The problem is, if I go, I would be travleing to Toluca, Mexico, and staying with my husbands family, I will also have my 3 year old son with me. I would guess that it would be very difficult for me to make certian that we used nothing but bottled water, for cooking, washing vegies, brushing teath, bathing my 3 year old who still drinks the bath water, ect., ect., ect. So how do I know if the waters safe and what can I do if it's not? Also wondering about any immunizations my son might need before going.

thank you for your help, but i already understand that you should use bottled water. My question is how am i supposed to make sure that happens. I will be having an extended stay, and I will be living with family, that will probably be preparing most of the meals. Not at a hotel, that is used to catering to international travlers.
