hi,
i live in nyc...
and yes it is just as fantastic as you think - but it is expensive.
if you don't like excitement and large crowds, this is not the place for you.

The weather is pleasant during September so it won't be a problem walking about town. There are a lot of places to visit in the city. There is probably something for every one in NYC, no matter what you like. I think it is a fantastic place. Hopefully you will like it.

NYC is a brilliant place to visit for a few days - so many things to see. It is as safe as anywhere else in the world as long as you stick to the main tourist areas. There are cops on almost every corner and everyone is very friendly. I have visited there 3 times - ( Twice in October and once in February) each time with a party of 30+ kids - no problems whatsoever

Cool. I'm English and i'm going to NYC next December. NYC it's one of the best places in the world. But theres a lot of walking around, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes with you!!
At the moment it's been snowing loads but September would be a good time to go.
I hope i helped..x

I have lived in the suburbs outside NYC my whole life. I dont go out there anymore. Sometimes you spend so much money to go out and it's awful, other times it is awesome. You have to come in Sep though. Im sure you will love the experience since you have never been.

I Live in the U.S. I lived about 50 miles north of NYC for a year, and delivered there by truck on a regular basis. I would avoid it like the plague. I can think of no reason to go there. It is dirty, expensive, and dangerous. (maybe it is just me, but I see it as a blot on the universe to be avoided)
