yesterday was hell, i had a huge mental breakdown and now i cannot not focus on school or even getting some sleep! I was with my cousins and they were really ticking me off like they would say how perfect their life is and compare it to my dad who drinks and doesn't do sh*t but even though i don't get along wiht my dad, i hate it when people bring him up and then they said my mom was "selfish" for going to missouri to help her parents that are diagnosed with alzheimer's disease but thats dumb because she is there to help her own parents, then they start acting like smartasses and try to beat me in arguements like they know my life or something, so i completely snapped and screamed and started to cry and have a huge breakdown, i had all this stress inside me and i just let it all out. I miss my mom a lot and no one understands me and people are just pissing me off. please help or give me advice, i'm worried because i'm only 14 and already get stressed and i don't want to get worse.

That's so unfair for your cousins to do and say what they did,,,but maybe it wasn't meant to be to hurt you!!! Some kids just like bragging about what they have and doesn't take into consideration what they may be making you feel like,,,Your mom is doing the right thing and the only thing she can do at this time and you just need to stay strong so that she doesn't have one more worry on her plate"YOU",,, I'M SURE SHE FELT BAD , leaving you with a dad who drinks too much, but must REALLY feel that your strong enough and mature enough to be OK in her absence!!! Show her and those big mouth cousins that their life could one day take a change and the ''PERFECT '' little home lives they have now could change in a second<<<< I just hope that if I ever need help when I get older that I will have a son JUST LIKE YOU!!! She would be very proud of how you are out there asking our advise on trying to keep it together>>>AND by the way,,,My son is 31 and I'm not too far as being in your grandparents shoes!!! GOOD LUCK and stay strong!!! I'm proud of you!

The people who are treating you that way are immature idiots. I know it is hard to ignore, but if you walk off on them it will take you away from a situation you don't want to be in and help you not to blow up.
You have the right outlook on your mother being away, and I am sorry that your Dad is an excessive drinker, but there is not much you can do about that. Ask you mother if you can go to Missouri with her.
Unless your your mother is going there to find a nursing home for them and then come home.
I hope you have her telephone number for where your Mom is going. That way you both can talk to each other.
I have a connection to 360 so if you want to contact me you can do it that way.
Good luck and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi there!! Bless your heart, it sounds like you miss your Mom terribly!! I am sure she misses you even more than you could ever know, unless you had kids of your own!! Is there anyway you can go visit her until school starts back?? Did you not get to see her yesterday or for Christmas?? Who are you staying with?? It sounds like your cousins know where to get your "goat", are they really that mean?? How old are they? 2??? You so very badly need someone to talk to! I would be glad to talk to you and try to guide you!! I have 3 kids and 2 are around your age, but I am not an old fogie Mom, I really listen and really try to guide my kids to do what is best for them as individuals, not because it would be good for me! My e-mail is melonioilar@yahoo.com Good Luck to you, it will get better and better you will see!! Don't let a bunch of dimwit's get you down, YOU ARE TOO GOOD FOR THEM!!!!!

when i was younger i had people teasing me coz of my parents issues too, as well as other things happening... it got to a point where i had a complete breakdown, when i turned 12 i started cutting to help deal with ****. mate, you are too young to be going through this much stress, it isnt fair on you. i can understand you dont really have your parents to talk to about it, but you need someone, you cant keep bottling it up or you'll be slowly heading for a bigger breakdown. ive been in mental hospitals coz of my breakdowns, please get some proffessional help before it gets really bad. try talking to a school counceller, a GP or some other youth/community worker, they are there to help.
if it will help to talk to a friend but no one understands, i am here for you if you wanna chat with me. i am 18 but i think we have a bit in common. so, anytime, IM me if you want. your not alone! take care!

Read the book entitled, "The Four Agreements", written by a Shaman named Don Miguel Ruiz about not taking anything personally, being impeccable with your word, not making any assumptions about anything, and always doing your personal best in everything. After you put these into action, you will have inner peace in spite of what goes on around you.

I can understand your feelings. It hurts to hear people saying bad abt our loved ones and when our loved ones leave us. U r too young. Stop crying. Wipe away your tears. Those people (ur cousins) are not worth ur tears. Let them say whatever they want. Keep one thing in mind. If you are worried by their comments, they will be happy and they will win. Do you want that to happen? Face the world with a brave heart. World is waiting for you.

Oh, honey! You should go talk to someone! Who do you trust? Tell them, talk to someone, get it all out. its okay to cry, i think you have to get all the emotion all out of yourself. Just go find someone you trust and vent it all out on them. Maybe you can call your mom? or talk to your dad? and never let people make u feel bad, because if they are trying to do that, then they are just insecure about themselves and just want to put you below them! Or they're jealous about you or something... wait, you were talking to your cuzins? dad's side or mom's? because its not nice of them to judge their uncle/aunt... dont worry so much. stress comes and goes, you just have to learn to deal with it...
Talking helps a lot, I'm serious. Get all the stress/anger/hurt out of you...
I hope I helped, Good Luck =)

Run away. That's what I do when things get bad at home. And next time you see your cousins, I suggest beating them several times before throwing them out. That'll help you relieve the stress, trust me I know u feel. Taking some of those frustrations out on them will help you a lot.
