I heard that it was believed a long time ago that when you sneezed, that was your body expelling a bad spirit, which is why they say, "bless you" after a sneeze.

I also heard that its just to clear out your sinus'.

I also heard that its a facial orgasm.

I have never heard this one!! When you sneeze, it just means you have allergies or maybe dust got in your nose! Some people sneeze when they shake pepper on their food! But I have never heard if there is a meaning behind sneezing! I hope this helped some!! Good Luck to you!!!!

Those are old wives tales. Sneezes mean that your sinus nerve endings sent a signal to your brain that a foreign body (allergen, dust, smoke, bacteria, virus, whatever) needs to be cleared. You stop sneezing when your sinuses nerve endings send the signal to your brain that you got whatever it was out of your nose.

It means that your nose itches, you have allergies, or have breathed in dust particles.

My husband is allergic to sunlight and sneezes repeatedly when he steps out the door, if the day is bright and sunny. (Really.)
