Every child is different, and some boys aren't ready even to start until they're three or even three and a half.
Ideally you should just wait until your son expresses an interest. It's his body, after all, and he should choose when he's ready to give up his nappies. If you buy him some underwear with his favourite TV character (or favourite colour) and put it in a drawer, you can let him know that he can wear those when he's big enough to give up nappies. Then say nothing at all. Until his body is physically mature enough to know when he needs to pee, there's nothing anyone can do.
sooner or later he'll decide he wants to try, but it should be his decision.

He may not be ready yet, leave potty where he can see it and see if he goes to it, even if he sits on it with hes nappy on, he's got to realise its not going to hurt. I'm sure if you leave it a few more weeks it wont hurt, your son has to come round to the idea that the potty is good and grown up.

All kids are different, maybe he is scared of his potty. I tried my son on a potty when he was 2 but he just wouldn't use it. Then I tried him on the toilet and never looked back....he never wore a nappy again after that even at night.

It sounds like your son is scared of the potty so try asking your other child for help, ask him to show his brother how to use the potty, just to show him there is nothing scary about it.

He senses your anxiety. He's not ready yet, he will do it in his own time, after all have you ever heard of a child starting to school in nappies? You were lucky with your first child, they're not all the same.
Hope this helps and have a nice day ;)

he's not ready - he'll let you know when he's ready. my brother didn't toilet train till he was 3 and still needed nappies when he was in bed till he was 4. i have 3 boys, the eldest was 28 months when he was toilet trained, but the other was 29 months. my youngest is only 4 months. give your son time honestly do not push him, he'll do it when he's ready.

Next time you go to the toilet, take him with you and sit him on the potty. That way he can see that Mum is doing it too, and it isn't scary.

He evidently don't need training to drive you potty.
