It is what God requires of those serving Him truthfully.
In the 1st century, when people other than just Jews started being a part of the congregation of Christians, the apostles did not want to put unnecessary burdens on those except for a few NECESSARY things--fornication, things sacrificed to idols, and FROM BLOOD. Acts 15:19-20 and again in verses 28-29 showed that the elders were unanimous in this.
Incidentally, when buying steak or roast, we always wash it to get most of the blood out as a normal practice.

I find your question a bit strange. Is a steak dinner worth more than your kids life? First of all, the meat that we eat has been properly bled. It is impossible to remove every drop of blood.
Does the Bible’s prohibition include human blood? Yes, and early Christians understood it that way. Acts 15:29 says to “keep abstaining from . . . blood.” It does not say merely to abstain from animal blood.
We do allow our children to have transfusions—the safer kind. We accept the kind of transfusions that don’t carry the risk of such things as AIDS, hepatitis, and malaria. We want the best treatment for our children. But we will not compromise our Bible-trained beliefs and violate God's view of the proper use of blood. Before you call us stupid, do you teach your children respect for life or do you allow them to go to war where either their blood is spilled or the blood of those they kill? JWs do not participate in warfare for any reason.

When meat is cooked all the way , there is no blood in it, so unless a person is eating a rare or raw piece of meat they really are not eating blood.
Also, why just pick on JW's...? Every religion and I mean EVER religion has things about them they believe in that other think are strange or wrong or even unsafe..
JW's do not believe in blood tranfusions BUT Christian 'drink the blood of Christ'. (ok, not really but that is what is said". Some people do not circumsize there boy for religious reason, Are they wrong..?
We belive what we believe because we will feel it is what god has said for us to believe, Do you go against what god says..?

still, we Jehovah's witnesses avoid blood in food, we ensured that the meet we will eat is already separated from it's blood, we also are humans, we were sad if such thing happen, but that's not the reason why people call us a little fool, it's because we are living with the bible laws and will not try to save our own lives just to disobey what Jehovah require to us.... yes you are right we are all sincere and are convinced that our way of living is rightful to the eye of our God , Jehovah....

We put Gods laws above anything, even if it means death. The thing about is that all those who die faithfully, will be resurrected. Jehovah's Witnesses have been persecuted and put to death just because they obeyed God and not men.
Even though blood from a steak is not 100% blood free, God wants you to respect blood by draining it as much as possible. Thats showing respect for blood and his laws.

I'm not a JWs, but what makes you think that they eat meat with blood in it?
Now, the blood transfusion thing, that is a tough one.
See, it does say in the Bible that the life is in the blood and should not be consumed. And I have to admit that a blood transfusion would be consuming blood and giving life.
I don't about that one :-(
God Bless You

You are misinformed. Jehovah's Witnesses don't consume blood and they don't let their children die. There are many substitutes for blood.

Making fun of his laws is.
