from my understanding there is no age but public intoxication is strictly enforced

The French are notorious at ignoring this law (legal age 16). There'd be a large family at a restaurant with kids of all ages and everyone will be served a little wine. Don't over do it, though, for your own sake.

Technically, the drinking age is 18, but nobody frowns upon underage drinking.

A bartender will easily serve a 15 year old, no questions asked

last i heard there is no drinking age in paris but that does not mean you can be drunk. they do have blood alcohol limits

Well, I preety sure there is no drinking age thing...but i wouldn't drink wine even in paris withput being 21 if i were you

It is 14 i believe, but they don't keep close tabs on your age like the US. And yes, they are very strict on public intoxication, be extremely careful

If you live there I'm pretty sure it is 15 years of age. I'm not sure if it applies to tourist as well. I'd think so.

only the USA has weird laws on sex, drinking and guns
the rest of the world is relatively sane
