It's more or less instinctive. I believe in a God. I don't go to church. Religion is very personal for me. Usually if I have a really bad stomach ache and am sitting on the crapper, that is always a good time to reaffirm your faith.

As for me, I've never stopped doubting because there is no reason to believe a god exists. Then again, religion and faith are beyond reason. So what can ya do? It's not a technique. I just tend to do what is most conveinent at the moment.

There are some people who don't have any doubts at all. They don't dare to question their beliefs and will ghast at even the suggestion that they could be slightly wrong. Basically, in their minds, these people are never wrong. It's a very mild form of being delusional. I do not suggest going this route.

we are actually not responsible for what close minded human beings have self assurance. Galileo grow to be up against an entire society of close minded human beings whilst he tried to cutting-edge his discoveries to the international. As Albert Einstein informed us, "great spirits have consistently encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." If anybody is caught of their ideals then we are in a place to only have compassion for them. we are interior the midst of evolution and mankind's understanding will improve each 2nd. some persons have not got the certainty to settle for this (or make an knowledgeable determination) so as that they want the protection of a mounted gadget of concept. If Galileo, Kepler, Newton, all felt this form, mankind does no longer have the technologies we take with none attention at the instant. we might nevertheless think of the Earth is on the midsection of advent, technological know-how and medicines could additionally be stunted. The universe gave us an inquisitive mind and employing it rather is all area of the plan. peace.

I don't like to talk about it but here goes...

I don't read The Bible. I don't go to Church. But I do most defiantly believe there is a Higher Power, watching over me and protecting me and my judgment. Do I have doubts? Yes, I do at times but very very little. As I child, I blamed God for everything that went wrong from a broken finger to my disability of Mild CP. Why? Because I was a stupid little kid who didn't know any better.

A little story if I may...

In the present day, 9 months ago. I was in a house fire. A fire broke out in the master bedroom of my home because my dad left a lit cigarette in the ash trey and it fell onto the floor. He had just left for work and the fire alarm went off and at first I thought it was another mishap and I 'almost' ignored it, till I saw it for myself, the bed, on fire and going all to hell and I knew I couldn't put it out, so I had to get out of my wheelchair and crawl from my back bedroom and outside. but on the way out, I saw the Master Bedroom door slam shut. That told me God was with me and it wasn't my time to go. So 911 got there and put it out, The Master Bedroom and Bathroom were in shambles but I got out of there with minor bruising.

Yes, I believe in the High Power or as he's known in my heart, God. I wouldn't be here today if not for him after I was born.

Im surprised that there arent anymore answers here from believers. But... Believing in god or having faith is one of the hardest things to do during these times on earth. Yes reading the bible and talking to other believers do help. But prayer is probly the best solution. I like to deal with the source rather than the research. In your case its not really doubt that your going through, its just tough times in your spirtualality. Its a great gift to know God and to go through rough times with him. Its all worth it in the end. God bless.

Doubt is a tool the enemy of your soul has used effectively since the beginning of creation. He continues to use it because it is effective and because he has become very good at it. He used it on the first man and woman, he used it on Job, Moses, David, Elijah, Jesus, Paul and all of the believers whom have placed their trust in God throughout time. He is a master at it and if you try to eliminate it solely on your own strength you don't have a chance.

Jesus resisted the devil in the wilderness not with his own strength alone but through the power of the word of God of which the devil has no defense. This has absolutely nothing to do with reason or intellect as many who don't believe here are trying to assert. It has to do with spiritual power which flows from the everlasting truth of God word.

So, the short answer simply is, resist the devil and he will flee from you, your tool and weapon in this resistance comes from the word of God.

Let me also recommend also that you find a close Christian friend, pastor or mentor who will be willing to support you in these times of doubt if they become overwhelming.

Faith comes by hearing the word of GOD. Focus your attention on understanding what Jesus said and did and ignore everything else, especially the o.t. and what others think Jesus meant by what He said. Apply yourself to understanding the core or central message of what Jesus taught. Only when you know that you understand it and can apply it in your life, do you move on to learn more. Accept responsibility for your thoughts and refuse to waste your time on things over which you have no control.

I have no doubts about God, to deal with. The apparitions of Jesus and Mary only make my faith stronger in God.They have been well documented, authenticated and thoroughly investigated to dismiss as fantasy or misguided spiritual fervour, and the works that flowed from them were good.
Of course,Christians refuse to believe in apparitions, because they are not written in their Bibles.
