how do you find out how a girl feels about you w/o looking like a retard?

this girl is a really pure person, and from what i know, doesnt date much. shes also a junior. (im a sophmore). idk what to do.

Step 1: Walk up to her. (The less people around her, the better)
Step 2: Speak: "Can I talk to you for a minute? In private?"
Step 3: IF she says no, say "ok then, maybe later?"
IF she says yes, go out of earshot of just about anyone.
Step 4: Speak: "I'm just curious, because I've been hearing rumors that you liked me, and I'd like to know if they're true. You can be honest, I won't be offended, I promise."
Step 5: IF she refuses to answer, says no, or asks who started the rumors, speak: "So they were just rumors? Okay, thanks for letting me know" Remember to have dignity!
IF she says yes, speak: "Really? Cool. Wanna go out sometime?" (OR "wanna hang out sometime?")

This SHOULD work. If she laughs at you, then she's too much of a b**** to begin with. :)

I would just go for it and ask her. Life's about taking risks, right? And with risk comes rewards!(One most counts).
And make sure you actually know SOME things about her. Don't just go out with her because shes hot, pretty, sexy, etc. That just wastes the point of even going out with her. And most importantly, do get nervous and make yourself look like an idiot!
