i agree. infinity is a theory we make up to have something to comprehend. Infinity is just an idea.
we were the one's who decided that 4 is greater than 3. In actuality, there is no "4" or "3". They are just things we created to help us understand.
If two things are the same, then they equal each other.

infinity is not a number. It is a concept only. Anyway, I want to answer this question by an question. "Which infinity?"
5/0 or 6/0 ?
Which infinity did you mean?
Although, concepts don't have any numeric values. they can't be equated.

What if infinity does not exist? Where did the concept come from? Why did we waste our time thinking about it?

Actually, you'll find that not all infinities are not equal.
Look up the Cantor diagonal argument. Don't assume that your lack of understanding equals lack of understanding by others.

It depends. some infinities are bigger than other infinities. Only mathematicians can understand this.
