My dad and I are emotionally distant and my family recognizes that, whenever he is insensitive and pisses me off I take my anger on my mom and brother of to which I realize.

Im tired of this repeating and ongoing chain and I want to end it. Is there a way you can improve an emotional realationship with a person no matter how incapable he or she may seem. I hope what I am trying to do isn't a lost cause.

Why don't you try to sit down with your dad and have a "man to man" conversation?

Why don't you ask him why he hates you or why he is discouraging you or irriating you for no reason?

Is it because of your performance at school/work?

Why don't you discuss with your mom, the reasons behind this communication/emotional gap?

Hope things will get better, All the best!

Stop taking it out on the other members, and go straight for your, dad. Not while you are angry. Find a middle ground to try to speak to him. Otherwise move out if your old enough.
