I'm a baptized brother; 17 years old.. and I'm so stressed with being a teenager right now, and I need some advice...
I'm going to talk to my mom and elders but not yet.
the subject of playing sports keeps popping up in my head; and
I want to do it, but I want to serve jehovah at the same time...
I want to aux. pioneer and then again I want to do sports.
I know it's the right choose if I go with aux pioneer because
then I wouldn't even think about doing sports, because I have aux. pioneered for 5 months straight last year, and enjoyed it a lot. what should I do to make the right decision?
(give advice if your a lover of jehovah only)

sports for my school...
(and I know the internet isn't the best place to get advice... but that doesn't mean you have to be rude and say to go to the elders!! please don't say to just go to the elders; because I know that, and I will)

"Each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire..." (Jas 1:14,15) Do you recall the rest of that Scripture?

Those who are baptized are supposedly mature enough to do their own research. You obviously already know the wise answer. Are you looking for encouragement to go against it? What other reason could there be for posting a question like this to strangers? Your question has been answered many times over, both in the Bible, & on our CD...

Do you really like competition? I find that it *ruins* any game or sport for me. Instead, I seek to help ALL the others playing with me to do *their* best, & get the most enjoyment out of it...
Striving to win promotes selfishness. Winning is sheer vanity. You can win Every game, & be the Biggest scorer, & you'll still come out a Loser. YKWIM.

Are you not going against God's wise advice already?
Whenever we know something to be wrong, yet continue cultivating a desire for it, are we not as guilty as having already done it? (Mt 5:28)

Marriage is sacred,
but one's dedication to God is even more so...

Prove to yourselves the good, acceptable, & perfect will of God." --Ro 12:1-2

Neither does God reprogram our hearts for us.
This is something that We have to do for Ourselves.
It takes Effort. It takes Persistence.
But --most importantly-- it Pays Off! (:

We all have a torture stake to carry.

I love SCUBA diving, but knowing this love I moved back to the desert, 500 miles from the closest ocean.

Yours is sports.

I have never regretted moving away from the ocean, knowing that in the new system I will be able to dive the world, and not have to worry about my equipment being stolen. (which happen in San Diego).

Well if you already did the aux. pioneer why not give sports a try? Then you will have done both!

Well, you do know you can't do both, right?

Did you watch the latest YPA DVD- What Will I Do With My Life?

If so, watch it again.

Kid I will give you the view of a rational person without prejudgment . Do what is right for you ! Think with your own brain ! Stop letting others tell you what you have to think and do or the rest of your life will be hell . If any god wanted you to be miserable he wouldn't be worth worshiping now would he .

Dont let ludicrous superstitious beliefs spoil your life.

You only get one chance so make the most of it. As long as your not harming anyone else do exactly what YOU want to do.
