what does it mean when you call a number and it says this number has been temporarily disconnected? and i would call daily to see when i would be able to reach the person and it would say the same thing for a while and now it says the number you dialed is not in service and has been disconnected. Does this mean the person was late on paying their bill so it was disconnected?

it means the person you are calling is a cheap bastard

Basically, they didn't pay and the phone company took their love (phone) away. Probably owe a huge bill to boot.

The only other thing I can think of that it means is if the person moved and forgot to cancel the service, so it just ran until the company cut it off. Boils down to the same thing though, doesn't it? They have no phone at that address.

Often phones are disconnected temporarily for non payment of account and after a period of time they are disconnected completely.

I'd say it means they didn't pay their bill(on time or at all). Unless they had it disconnected for some other reason, I'm pretty sure that's the only thing it could be.

Yes, or they moved and didn't leave a forwarding phone number. Most of the time it is because of the non-payment of the bill.

Not necessarily, there are a few reasons why it may have been disconnected.
Why don't you ask the person who owns the phone?
