Serious..If not, where do these guys hide out...?
If you want to meet a guy your age (over 40) where DO you find them? Or should I just lay down and die with the fact that all "they" want is a 20 year old? And I know..because LONG ago I once too was 20, and was attracted to "older men" -now they are my peers! I feel too old to go on the "bar/club" prowl. (besides, the only thing that happens there is some young guy believing the "hipe" of the couger image!)
So just where are these guys???? There must be some men that want to have an adult conversation...OK maybe not.

BITTER???? how funny mister? I think that shows your own true colors!!!Why is it OK for men to always call a woman who is over 30 & single, bitter!!!!??? We are FINE!! Might have chosen the wrong men in the past..but we are FINE!!! You are making excuses, and are not mature enough yourself to see that it is YOU that is bitter! I feel (almost ) sorry for you.

Thank you "loveem" -I will share the odds here with the rest of my good hearted girl-friends who are NOT. But you do see what our odds look like right? Just by the answers here. Pretty sad huh? We are women who do not "need" a man, but wish to (sometimes) share our lives with some one -MAYBE!!!! That is one joy a 20 something won't have! Unless they come from money, they did not earn on their own. We like it our way -just trying to find kind men of the "like." We "need" nothing.

Yes, I am almost 40 and my girlfriend is 42. Let me try to explain whats happening. Most men around 40 to 45 are experiencing a midlife crisis. They are worried about getting old and being with a young attractive woman makes them feel young again. I went thru a period when I dated women alot younger than me for this reason alone. When I became content with my age, I realize that I had alot more in common with women closer to my age. Im sorry your going thru this but im sure you will meet someone close to your age that doesnt want a 20 yr old. Good luck my friend!

Men in their 40's usually are having a midlife crisis where they got to do what they could not do because they were married.
If you want a serious relationship, then you are likely out of luck. The best you could do is a purely physical relationship with a guy like me in his late 20s and early 30s, sorry.
Really dependency on other people is over rated, to be quite honest. Get a dog or a cat for the emotional attachment and get a young male for the fun.

Good news...we are out there. We are pursuing our passions and pleasures, we are working, walking the dog, shopping; and otherwise living life. And as life is more a matter of stage than age, any guy worth a crap [or capable of an intelligent adult conversation] would most often want a love interest with common interests, ambitions, passions and pleasures, and the like. Just do what you enjoy, don't look for it, but be open to it...you will find it.

well i am well over 40 and was looking for a lady close to my age and did not find her --- i dated a few ladies it got hot and heavy so to speak yet when it came down to something more serious there was nothing there --- then i met my lady and she is younger than me and we connected (so far only online and no sex --- its been deep conversations) ---- so really against my intentions i am with a younger lady it was not something i sought ---- saying that there are guys my age that are looking for ladies around their age and not club/pub/bar crawling --- i found the ladies online ---- best wishes

alot of guys want a girl younger than 20... just get a 30 something....actually i remember getting hit on by this 46 year old and he told me that he likes younger girls because they aren't worn down like the 40 somethings he tries to date...

It seems to me that you're rather bitter. I don't care what age a guy is, he won't date a bitter woman.
