Religion means the way of life. A set of rules and regulations which should be applicable to the whole of man kind. Like a man who has invented an electronic device like a DVD player should also write a set of rules on how to operate it, on how to maintain it etc. Similarly the Original Source which made man should set the rules and regulations. Bcos only the Creator can do this. No one else can do this. This is proved by the fact that the constitutions and legal procedures all over the world cannot be the same. What is right in USA is wrong in India. So there should be a set of rules above both this communities which can be dictated only in the name if an Universall religion. For contended living also it is an essential thing. Today we see so many people right from Bill Gates to the poorest man of the world are living in anxieties and happy, sad moments in the life. As human they undergo the tensions. To come out of this we need religion. To continue to live a peaceful life during both the happy and sad moments of life we need to have faith in God and follow a religion.

No, I believe that religion is man-made and not of God at all.
I believe that in order to have and maintain that healthy and contended living you speak of - one should follow the Christ and read the Lord's Word daily and above all become a doer of what you read in the Word!
God Bless You!

I'm healthy and contented and do not belong to any particular religion. I think it's healthier to explore all ideas and come up with your own conclusions. I've got my own beliefs and they don't match up exactly with any organized religions. Religions are inventions of people, IMHO. The only power they hold is the energy created when large groups congregate with a single belief (no matter what the belief is). This is why so many people swear THEIR religion is THE one.
I recommend going to Beliefnet.com and taking their "Belief-o-matic" quiz. Quite interesting! It will analyze your answers to about 20 questions and tell you which religion you match up with.

True Religion, Yes.
Humans are created with a spiritual side that only true religion can satisfy.
However, false religion is on its way out.
