If he can maintain separation of church and state. The pilgrims fled to the new world to flee a state run church. We have separation of church and state to maintain our freedoms to worship how we want or to not worship at all. Many times atheists and others get angry around Christianity because of its influence in a nation many of us consider Christian. At all costs we as a nation must maintain our freedom to posses whatever faith we wish or no faith at all. If a born again Christian president can do that than fine. Also I would rather have a non-Christian president who would be proficient in the position than some one like the "current occupant" who claims to be a Christian.

No because he/she would rule with religion as a major deciding factor, we need a president that will have all the people in the USA on mind, not just those of the same belief as him/herself

NO, as I recall we have had one for the last 7 years. Further, why a born again? How about a never died Christian, Muslim, Jew or Hindi with good ideas. I dont care what religion you are. You are the president not my priest.

It bothers me that the candidate's religion plays such a big part in the election. Separation of church and state is what created America to begin with. And it bothers me that critical scientific discoveries are being postponed in the name of 'god'.

I would be forced to question as to whether he/she has the intellectual capacity to sustain the demands of the job and issues if I were to find out that he/she was a "born again"

It doesn't matter what religion our president is. All that matters is that he or she is a strong leader and makes the right choices for our country.

We need a president who can't seperate his personal faith from his secular job, in the same way that a fish needs a bicycle.
