If you did not file because you did not have any income or any 1099-INT Or 1099-DIV at all then you were not required to file a tax return. IF you had income for the tax year 2007, then you are required to file your tax return due by April 15. 2008

If you don't owe any tax you can still file for '06, but why? It is always a good idea to file a return even if you make no money, then there's a record of it. 1040EZ is all you need
