No... this has not happened to me, but I believe I see it happening to others with some frequency...

It's sad when truly thoughful ideas get lost because of the negativity of others.

I just love when people like this Eff O person show up yelling and screaming about who knows what. So UP please stop pushing your evangelizing on all of us.

Yes I have several times. I tend to give them a thumbs down so I do not have to read those answers from such small minded people when considering the answers later.
They do not really frustrate me because I know that most people will flat out reject anything that has to do with the truth especially as the return of Christ draws closer. I put the truth out there for those who can comprehend it, and the others can do nothing but mock it because is what their master tells them to do.

I don't think it's so much denigration as it is criticism by my peers. Although some could use a little more dignity in their antitheses'. Because we have the desire to post we fall in the category of philosopher. And philosiphers publish their ideas for criticism by their peers. I also like the fact that my critics can give me reality checks and sometimes a unique and refreshing perspective of my views. I may never study philosophy in colloge or theology and have the oppurtunity to write a treatise, but as a layman, I have this forum to offer my thoughts and project.

Of course. I thought that was part of the whole R&S experience! It only really bothers me when it's the asker that smears my answer all over the stall. The most frustrating thing is that, why does someone ask a question if their minds are already made up? Why did I bother? It doesn't bother me as much as it used to, but I'm also a little more selective than I used to be.

And I'm pretty sure Eff O crawled out from under a bridge, and a lazy one at that since he only seems to have one copy-and-paste answer.

Peace to you.

Some people in here make me believe that the movie Idiocracy has a dangerous chance of becoming a reality.

I was angry at myself for revealing a part of me only to have it mocked. I instantly deleted what I'd posted when I realised what response it was getting. I was frustrated that almost everyone had jumped to conclusions and thought the worst of me.

It put me off opening up for quite a while.

If I had something profound to express, I hope I do it in an environment that gets it more recognized than typing it out for a bunch of wankers.

It's personal practice to keep any fertile profundities to myself, particularly here. My simplest thoughts and ramblings get more than their fair share of negative reports and responses. Nothing so engenders abject hostility as spoken or written truth. Exposing delusion can cause one to lose his precious hat dome.

yes. at worst case scenario, they were 'profoundly personal' too. but i dont care how others react to it, as long as that one particular person reads it and know how i feel about everything. sooner or later, everything will come to an end while i am getting sick and tired of reiterating my point, and i am not seeing any withdrawal. to that one person, he knows what i am talking about, to the rest, i may sound like a crazed answerer off the street.

Well nothing beyond or more intimate than..........

" I know there is a Holy and Living God"...............many contributors jump at the chance to tear this down, why would I tell them something "profound" about me!

Sometimes, people in their having fun, can't even take death seriously. I have as much fun on here as the next person, not knocking it. But, when serious issues are on the table, that's a different ball game. I am guilty of this myself. There are no ruder people than those in a good mood and happy. lol
