Traditions are reminders of our past. It is very good to never forget where we came from.

You must understand that traditions are activities that have been carried out for several generations, in most cases for many generations which can stretch to many centuries. Each traditions are started according to the time it is created. As time changes, some aspect of traditions are meant to be changed, but ignorant people still deviant to accept changes, hence, outlaws of traditions is prevailing everywhere.
My opinion:
Traditions are started for certain cause by our ancestors, thus we ought to follow it as a mark of respect. But we also need to change and modify the traditions according to time so that harmony can be maintained.

I don't know of anyone trying to outlaw personal traditions...
I think the only argument is against certain groups who try to impose their own traditions on society at large; or to certain groups who want *only* their own traditions pushed into public but don't want anyone else's there.

I do not celebrate Christmas or Easter. When I go into a store or whatever and someone says to me; "Merry Christmas!" "Happy Easter" I do not like it.
Why don't you followers of the Catholic teachings keep your traditions to yourselves?
I don't believe in worshiping the LORD against His commands.
But, since the Roman Catholic church and Satan have this pact, the whole world is being deceived into believing that they are worshiping the Lord, when in actuality they are worshiping Satan!
I pray that you will be unblinded by God, but until that day I would like for you to keep your traditions to yourself and not try to saturate the rest of us with it.
God Bless You!

Say, as long as you are talking about these new laws, I wanted to report that the main TV networks and a lot of other channels had "Christmas" shows on where they actually said the words "Merry Christmas" and sang songs about Christ and stuff.
Since this is now against the law, where do I report these criminals?

Where do you get off telling others that we must celebrate YOUR traditions and practices? Feel free to celebrate your holidays, but don't expect public schoolchildren, or those who believe differently, to celebrate as you do.

Could you give us a "for instance" or is it more fun to build straw men?
I would further point out that some traditions, such as hanging black people who were "uppity" and denying women the right to vote, should be changed.
