I have two computers that I use on the Internet, one for general searching and the other for financial stuff, but only have one connection so have to disconnect one before hooking up the other. I do NOT want to network them but simply have both connected to a box that I can switch over when I want to use the other computer. does anyone know of any equipment that would allow me to do that? Thanks.

You need a router.
You don't need to switch anything. The router provides a unique IP to each computer.
You don't have to create a network for your computers.
