Paying a 6 month old traffic ticket?

So I got a ticket in Frisco, TX for not wearing my seat belt. A lot of stuff was happening at that time and I COMPLETELY forgot to pay it.

What does this mean? Some please in heavy detail explain this to me. I'm 18 if that helps, and already have 2pts on my license

6 months? OK, in Texas you have 10 business days to respond to a written citation, other words contact the court. If you haven't contacted the court in that period, they may attempt to contact you via subpoena advising you of a court date. A subpoena may not be issued, it is an extreme courtesy of the court. A warrant for your arrest, for Failure to Appear, and the original charge may be, or have already been issued. If you hold a Texas drivers license I would strongly suggest you contact the court indicated on the citation and make arrangements to pay the fines. Your license status may already show a denied renewal status for failure to appear. I would definitely contact the court, SOON.

Yes, the advice about contacting the court applies. But here is something that few know about. Get the total amount that is due to satisfy the ticket, and write a check for MORE than that amount. Say the ticket costs $35.00 - write a check for $36.00. You'll receive a check from the Clerk of Court for the $1.00 that you over-paid. THROW IT AWAY. Until the check they sent you is cashed and clears, the case is technically "open" and no points can be assessed. If you don't cash it, it's always "open".

Its a hard call depends on how much the ticket is pobation removes points but not many and since your young i worry too much about it just go alot slower from now on let me tell you take the two week of probition two and from school let me tell you whyyou can pay 50.00 for driving school anddo it online but its a stupid pain in the butt and its boarring and i mean the boaring that puts you too sleep boaring it asks you to read about 20 chapters then take a stupid test and if you dont pass you must etak it till you do it took my sister 3 months to due it . Long stupid thing most people due them online now instead of going to traffic school like you thijk you would at least in 2 weeks you would have it over and done with in no time quick.... Thats the key not something that drags on and takes forever

if you go straight in and pay it they will do nothing no points just try not to get picked up on the way i did the same thing 4 years ago they had a warant out i just went to pay it told them what hapened and everything was a ok dont wory about it dosent mater if theres a warent go straight to police station and pay it they wont say a word like i said i been there done that even if there is a warant nothing will be done you just need to pay the fine do it sooner if you get picked up before you get there you will go to jail go pay it its ok

contact the court to ensure that there is no warrant. pay the ticket and it's fees in full. always use a seat belt.
