Sorry Toadally is right it is the Declaration of Independece not the Bill of Rights. That does not really change the fact that this country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If the USA was not founded on a Biblical foundation, it would be just like every other non-Christian country...

Every country needs a strong foundation, or it will not be able to function properly.

Our strong moral values, and principles are what keep the U.S together.

There were many people of differing beliefs, religions, and non-beliefs who worked on both the Bill of Rights and the Constitution at the time. We have forgotten what hard work it took to for all to come up with these beautiful documents, designed so as to have a government without a particular religion. These framers were born of men and woman who had to flee England because of religious oppression. They were wise in what they wrote. Our government neither denies nor subscribes religion to the people. THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT--to have a country with a government did not torture or burn you because you did not subscribe to the official government religion! The answer, to them was...don't HAVE an official government sponsored religion. So, yes there were christians involved in the making of those documents just as there were others involved....the point is there were compromises made among humans to make it work for everyone.
EDIT: WRONG regarding Jefferson accepting Christ. In his later years he did study and admire the moral teachings of Jesus, but he did not accept him as a "divine being."

The very first treaty contracted by the United States, the Treaty of Tripoli, negotiated in the Administration of Washington, passed by the Congress during the Administration of John Adams, says:

"The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion".

So there!

Oh wow... using the word "creator" automatically means that our nation was founded on a book mythology! Who knew!

Be realistic. Our founding fathers were mostly non-Christian, and if anything our nation was founded on Masonic and other secret society priciples. We are clearly guaranteed freedom of religion (something a Christian-founded nation probably wouldn't supply), and there's much more outright evidence (ie Treaty of Tripoli) to support a non-Christian founded nation than there is ambiguous words and phrases left up to interpretation. And let's face it- the only evidence that the Christian right has is just that: ambiguously religious words and phrases (endowed by our creator, under god, in god we trust, etc). It's not enough evidence to support any rational conclusion, and if that sort of stuff WAS enough, then the evidence would point to the USA being founded on Masonic principles.

i be attentive to you prefaced by applying conversing to Christians who think of this actual way. I in simple terms needed to allow you to be attentive to that there are reliable Christians like myself who quite do have faith in freedom of speech. i do no longer unavoidably think of that the U. S. government desires to implement Biblical perspectives (although if i'm appreciative whilst they do). i'm for each guy or woman having an equivalent say, equivalent rights. What i do no longer savor, although if, is whilst different religions get particular privileges whilst Christians do no longer. If it quite is going to be equivalent then enable's have it rather equivalent. i do no longer think of the U. S. government could desire to hold one hundred% to Biblical standards yet I do think of they're reliable standards and that they are of income to society. Thou shalt no longer kill, to illustrate. it quite is a tremendously reliable one! What could our society be like if we enable people kill in the event that they felt it grow to be staggering for them? (it quite is the case in different worldwide places.) i be attentive to what you assert. i'm in simple terms announcing if we've not got extreme standards this u . s . a . isn't a large u . s . a . for long. we don't unavoidably could desire to have Biblical standards yet there ought to be some bar by applying which we carry ourselves too.

...probably because that's the Declaration of Independence, not the Bill of Rights.

Actually, the Bill of Rights starts out with "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

So the Bill of Rights kicks off with the establishment of a secular government.

Did you know there is the constitution, of which the Bill of Rights is a small part of? And you did not quote from.

But it's nice to know you're a fan of an entirely different document - the Declaration of Independence. By the way "Creator" means deist, not CHRISTIAN.

Are you some kind of scare tactic for home-schooling?

Actually the US was founded on ancient Roman law and British commonwealth law. The founding fathers saw first hand the corruption and misuse of power that occurred when religion and government were joined. And as such made it very clear to separate those two powers forever.
