So here's the deal, Adam & Eve ate a fruit and therefore everyone are "born" sinful and guilty despite having done nothing wrong. It's like holding you responsible for your great great great x 1000 grandfather's act of stealing his father's cookie. So god decided that he had to get himself killed in order to forgive. It's like your sister saying, "Ok, I'll forgive you brother, but I'll have to get myself killed first!".
If humans must die cause of sin (Adam eating a fruit), then how is god allowed to twist the rules and kill himself instead? If god is allowed to twist the rules, why didn't he just forgive? To say that it is necessary for an "all-powerful" god to kill himself in order to forgive makes "0" sense. He can twist the rules as he wishes.
The murderer who committed murder is supposed to be punished in order to learn, not the juror. Imagine the juror saying, "I'll let you go for committing murder, but let me kill myself first!"

Your argument assumes that there is man without sins of his own,
Original sin is not that you are punished for the sins of others but that sin and death enters the world through Adam.
Your other assumption is that a man is forgiven in order to continue in sin,
A man that is made new does not sin but becomes a new creature,
God is righteous and does not overlook sin.
The penalty of sin is death and God does provide the penalty is paid for those who accept the atonement.
No sin nor any sinner will enter God's heaven.
All men sin and all men do die the opportunity for everlasting life is through the atonement Christ did provide us,

Imagine that Adam and Eve had not disobeyed God. Then sin would not have been introduced by man and we would already be in some capacity comparable to Heaven. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed, from that moment on God allowed sin to roam the earth and in Man's heart and mind. And what God is telling you now is that, "If you decide to obey HIM and follow HIS commands NOW , you will have the same opportunity that HE has promised man in the beginning. HE has never changed and HIS promise remains .
The only thing I want to propose to you all is, "what if this is true? What if all you have to do is believe that God is real inside you should you ask HIM to come into your life, and what if by following HIS commands you will be granted the rights to an eternity with HIM forever an eternity? Would you do it? Can you trust without visibly seeing HIS flesh. Most of mankind has refused to do just that. The thing you have to consider is , 'What if you are wrong in your premise that this is all too difficult to believe. " The way I see it is if you or non-believers persist in disbelieving, and you are wrong, all non-believers have everything to lose. If all this in not true and unreal, and I've spent my entire life believing and following a book that lead to no where, the very least I've done was to help many others to live right and love one another. Where's the gamble? Where's the harm?
My friend , you can't even grasp this small concept of why Jesus died for us. I would suggest if you're trying to accept this truth, you should begin again with repentance, and acceptance of God and Laws and love all mankind.
God sent a representative of HIMSELF because if HE showed HIS true image, man would not be able to comprehend it anyway. The only way God could convince man to follow HIS way and HIM was to travel the earth as MAN. Wouldn't you think HE would be easier to accept and believe if you personally saw man performing miracles among the lame, sick, poor and merely traveling HIS entire life to spread the Good News of God? I think God knew exactly what HE was and is doing because otherwise man would never be able to accept and comprehend HIM had God descended on the Earth in HIS own image. We have much trouble comprehending and accepting something that in intangible and not mass. And God knew this.

"Exactly how is it necessary that God gets Himself killed in order to forgive us for Adam & Eve's greediness?"
It was the only way for him to change the rules that he made...
"If humans must die cause of sin (Adam eating a fruit),..."
Sorry, but that's not the reason that people die, according to the bible. We die, because god threw Adam and Eve out of the garden BEFORE they ate from the Tree of Life, gaining immortality (Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."). In fact, according to the Garden of Eden myth, and quotes attributed to god, the only difference between god and man is...immortality.

It was Jesus, the son of God, who died. Not God. The reason it was necessary is because God required a blood sacrifice to take away sin. Before Jesus gave his life-blood the people sacrificed bulls and goats, but they were not enough to take away the sins of the people. As scripture says, God required a blood sacrifice to take away the sins of the world.
The sacrifice had to be perfect, without spot or blemish, and since Jesus was the only perfect man, without spot or blemish, it was necessary that He be the sacrifice, because He was the only one who was good enough to be acceptable to God.
It's obvious that it doesn't make any sense to you. However, we are given credit, so to speak, for simply believing, just because God said it. It's our job to believe, to have faith that God. THAT is what our part of the bargain IS. Even though it might not make sense to you.
This is too deep of a subject to tell the whole of it here on this post. I suggest that you study the book of Hebrews in the Bible to get the full picture.
Best of luck to you.

God let sin enter into the garden. He knew what Adam and Eve were going to do. He let it happen though, because Adam and Eve knew no life without God and they loved him. God wanted us to have a choice, the choice of loving him or not, to be with him or against him. God paid the price for us, because it's the only price that Satan would accept.

I think it just got all messed up and confused and misinterpreted over and over again untill nobody knows for sure why He did what He did. It looks more like a power play of some sort where He had to overcome all adversity against His ideas even if it meant His life. It happens to most all of us to some degree during life. We have to sacrifice in some way for what we know is correct and right. Is that so hard to understand?

To understand why God became man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary you have to understand the old covenant curse. In Deut. 28, it states that if Israel breaks the law then they will be punished, enslaved by gentile nations, killed, etc. They broke the law. A covenant can't be broken unless one dies. Romans 7, tells us that a marriage covenant between a man and woman is disolved if one dies. Therefore, Since God is the husband of Israel, God had to suffer, be enslaved by gentiles (Romans), die, etc. through his human nature in order to break the curse of the law. The Spouse dies and Israel is set free by his new spouse-the resurrected Christ. Christ also defeated death through his resurrection that came about by the disobedience of humanity's parents, Adam and eve. Seperation from God ( that comes through original and personal sin)=No spiritual life in humanity. Know Christ through his Roman Catholic Church=know and have eternal Life!

Interesting question.
Habakkuk 1:12 says God does not die. But, Jesus came to earth and died for us. Which proves that Jesus is not God because Jesus died. And that scripture clearly says that God does not die.
You're right. It is not necessary. :)
