I haven't heard or found anything about Chromes disease.
But Crohn's disease -Crohn’s disease is an ongoing disorder that causes inflammation of the digestive tract, also referred to as the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Crohn’s disease can affect any area of the GI tract, from the mouth to the anus, but it most commonly affects the lower part of the small intestine, called the ileum. The swelling extends deep into the lining of the affected organ. The swelling can cause pain and can make the intestines empty frequently, resulting in diarrhea.

It's caused by the bodies inability to digest food properly (due to lack of enzymes and the friendly bacteria) and leaky gut sets in and then inflammation/irritation. Yes it can be very pain full. Anti-biotics only worsen an already bad situation. Aloe vera juice & a good pro-biotic are highly reccomended !
The person needs to stay away from all carbonated beverages, because of the phosphoric acid. Tea also,as It contains tannic acid. A good bottled water Reverse osmosis or steam distilled is best.

I think you mean Crohn's Disease. It's a fairly nasty chronic condition of the intestine that causes pain, frequent diarrhea, and general deterioration of the affected part of the intestine. In severe cases, surgical removal of a section of intestine is the only effective treatment.
