Yap. Analog, SD TV will look pretty bad on a HDTV.
Get yourself digital cable or satellite, or hook up an off-the air antenna to get free digital and HD programming

This depends on your source. What are you connected to? If it is just an antenna remember that the digital channels have different numbers than their analogue counterparts. When programming the TV to receive local channels it would have automatically programmed the Digital channels along with the analogue. If you are connected to cable with a box or satellite, did you replace your receiver with an HD receiver? If so make sure you are watching an HD channel and HD programming and that it is connected with the right cables. If you list the model number and brand of each of your components I can tell you specifically what to do. Other than that check the manual.

Read the INSTRUCTION BOOK from beginning to end to become "acquainted" with your TV set....

It'll be faster and better than "guessing" what is wrong here.....

Yep, my first SONY back in the 80's was soooo complicated, that I spent 6 HOURS guessing why I couldn't get a picture.....

THEN I spent ONE HOUR reading the setup part of the manual and it was FULLY Functional......

Sheesh, why didn't I do that in the FIRST PLACE ?!!

So, read your manual.....Fix it right the first time....
