You would actually live for quite a while, but eventually the lack of real nutrients would make your body fall apart, and you would die.
Also, if you drank too much, you could 'dry drown' yourself. (Like when people die from drinking to much water.) It's not very common, I mean, you would really have to drink a lot.
You could well over a month and survive with starvation. However, it all depends on how healthy you already were.

You don't really eat ice, it's just water in a different form. So you could last for a while (as long as you could with out food) but you would get outrageously skinny from lack of nourishment. Then you would die from starvation. As for how long, that would depend on the person, it would probably be close to about 3 weeks or so, maybe a little longer or shorter. It all depends though on individual healthiness and stuff.

Its called water fasting. I have done it for about 3 days at a time. Typically I lost about 7 lbs. You can actually do it for about a week before you should let someone know your doing it so you can be safe. You might faint, feel sick, or be very tired with a headache. After about day 5 you won't be hungry anymore. It's not really worth it though because if you binge when you get off the fast you will gain all the weight you lost and then some. Just be smart about it and the first few days off of it eat raw, natural foods.

The human body can sustain itself up to 30 days without food. If you tried the water and ice (attempted suicide) diet, you would develop the following problems:
Diarreah
Scurvy (vitamin C deficiency) - symptoms include bleeding gums and teeth falling out, horrible breath, confusion, reopening of old wounds and scars, etc
Calcium deficiency - brittle bones and weak teeth
Extreme loss of muscle due to lack of protein
Dehydration due to lack of salts to transport the water in your system
Extreme fatigue and weakness due to lack of carbohydrates.
You could hypothetically survive up to a month depending on your activity level, but I wouldn't want to recover from that one.
Do me a favor - go eat something good and drink a beer.
You can survive on Guinness alone - it has all the vitamins you need to survive!!!

You'd die of starvation... Within a matter of weeks if not days, depending on your personal physiology.
Eating ice will actually make death quicker because the energy to melt the ice so your body can use it ups your caloric requirements. That's why if you ever crash in the mountains, melt the snow before you eat it. Otherwise you'll have to eat more of the bodies of your dead comrades.

Your body runs on hydrocarbon fuel, just like your car.
No mater how much water is in the radiator, you can only drive till you are out of gas.
Your body will burn food, then fat, then muscle & then you are out of gas. Ice will accelerate this process because your body has to burn fuel to melt the ice.

You could survive for three months. There's a "three" rule in life: an average of three minutes without air, three days without water and three months without food.

You would ultimately starve to death. It may take weeks, or months, or you could die in days...depending on how much water you took in each day.
