I know a person whi has been a professed athiest his entire life.
When 22 years old he inheruted 31 million dollars -- and this was in1967 !
He went to college and became a social worker in a major city.
He put 30 million in various trusts to help the kids of that city.
He raised three of his own children -- 2 became medical doctors and the other a minister in the MCC!
He also raised 15 forster kids!
He was the most giving person I'd ever known.
He died last year. I cried. (And everyone was shocked to discover he was almost totally broke). And he was STILL a professed athiest.
Now all you CHRISTIANS out there with your "personal relationships" with Jesus and your taking Jesus as your personal saviour. I DARE you to tell me this guy is in hell!

He did "IT" because he genuinely cared and loved all those kids! I remember him calling and while crying he was so worried because he could not place two brothers in the same home. He wound up takingto his own home!
HOW DARE anyone claim that "he did all that for his glory" !

who wrote "If he didn't accept Jesus as his personal Savior , he's in hell."
and those who also believe this.
You have not the slightest understanding of love or of Christ's message.

I find it amazing that some people can completely divorce the concept of morality from salvation.

I'm not a christian but i believe he made it. hes not in a hell. what this guy did is the true essence of the gospel. its not what christian believe, which is the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. the true gospel is having love for your neighbor. i would put God in it but the whole purpose for putting God is because if you love God, God will show you how to love others. But if you know how to love others then having God is irrelevant. In the bible it says God is love.

Sure, he professed he was an atheist!
And sure, he gave and help all his life!
Although, you're the one judging him and the Christians and even tell everybody to dare saying that this guy is in hell??? Where is hell? You stipulate it's a place...Could he be somewhere else??? Only the Creator can judge a person after this life on earth!!! And no one remain a person after, we are entities and we all go back to the Main Entity after the silver cord sever from our body! It's hard for me to see things your way, because I'm more a spirit "entity" than a body. My body is only the carrier of my soul! When I'll dye, I'll discard it as well as you... Try to never judge. Take care!

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Imagine someone walking up to cliff and just jumping off into the ravine without any effort to make it across. Now imagine someone else running as fast as he can, making the greatest of leaps and making it to the other side, he grabs on to the edge, holds on for a few seconds and as his fingers claw into the edge, he slips off and plunges into the ravine also being killed.
Which of these fell short? Both did, the second just tried harder but ended up the same as the first. The bible is crystal clear that no one, absolutely no one can stand before God on his/her own righteousness because only he who is absolutely perfect can do this and no one on this Earth can claim this, except one. He was hated then and is hated today because He lived and died without a single instance of sin and mankind cannot in it's arrogant rebellion bring itself to submit to a savior.
This man no doubt did great things on this Earth but he failed in one area, perhaps the most important of all, the recognition that his own breath is but a mist which comes and goes in an instant. He failed to submit and acknowledge the existence of the one who is the source of all goodness, who allowed him to live and breathe and exist to do all these things.
Besides, he has nothing to worry about, based on his own presumption, hell does not exist after all and neither does the one who will acknowledge his goodness, so the question is moot.

I am not athiest nor am I a christian...I'm agnostic and personally I feel the same way as you..B/c you decide not to follow"the lord" or any "god(s)"..does not mean you are a bad person or even a bad soul. But ppl beleive different things and someone will always be there to argue their opinion to you!I don't think anyone "goes" to "heaven" or a "hell"..But I'm only human what do I know right..thats why I'm agnostic nobody here on this earth anyway is going to change my mind and I doubt you ,I or anyone else will change theirs...
Good luck finding a legitimate answer to your question..b/c unless"god" him/her/theirself answers you you'll never know..Until you die and probably not even then!

The things you say your friend did were very impressive to people and helpful to people but, here was a man you say was an atheist, someone who not only rejected God but denied the very existence of God. So who do you think this man believes deserve the credit for all his wealth and accomplishments? He would attribute it to the person who left the inheritance and himself and when he stands before God at the Judgment, he will have the chance to see that all he had and every breath he was given to do all he did came from the God he denied the existence of and rejected. He lived a life that many people can only dream of and he gave no thanks, praise, worship or credit to God for his wealth, family or his life.

The concept of a fiery place of torment called "hell" is not a Bible teaching.
The Bible teaches that when we die we cease to exist. We do however, remain in God's memory and in his appointed time after the evil is cleansed off this earth, the dead will be resurrected.
It is up to Jehovah God and Him alone to say who gets a second chance.
The Bible does not teach automatic salvation.Nor is salvation determined by one's generosity.
John 17:3:"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you,the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth,Jesus Christ."
Matthew 24:13:"He that endures to the end will be saved."
Our salvation is determined on our accepting Jehovah God as Sovereign ruler, and exercising faith in the ransom sacrifice of his dear son,Christ Jesus. And the doing of God's will which includes the spreading of this knowledge to others.

There is no hell from which to be saved. Your friend was a giving, generous, caring man, who lived his life as he saw fit. He is loved by what he has caused in his life. That is more than enough. His legacy is immortal in that he touched lives that will never be the same again.

Please do not challenge the Christians. I can see their answers are a definite 'NO'. They don't even pray to your friend's soul as what they believe. You wouldn't know when your friend reached the gate of heaven; he may change his mind and seek permission to enter heaven. Let me tell you that your friend's Spirit will remain on earth forever with his children.

From knowing God as graceful as he is... he give us a choice. He tells us to choose the path of life rather than sin and that deeds do not allow someone to go to heaven. Even if this man is considered good in the eyes of man... we should trust God in his just ways to make a fair decision for non believers, especially atheists who reject God's offer of salvation.

Truly Truly I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
That's not to say you have to be poor to go to heaven. But Jesus said, only those that believe in him shall enter the kingdom. Now, if your friend went to the grave thinking he just died and nothing happens, whats the big deal?
Perhaps he has a nice cot in hell to compensate all he did!
Bill Gates gives MILIIONS to hungry people all over the world. Like 30 MILLION A YEAR. I tell you, if he has no Jesus all that money he used to feed the hungry wont buy him a ticket into heaven
