Don't be disturbed.
That kind of test is not all that accurate and
108 is above average.
Remember that the test is 'open ended` in that there
have to be questions that most people can't answer.

Iq Test For 6 Year Old

Don't take any of those online tests. None of them are certified, and the score that you get is not your true IQ. Go see a pyschologist or a doctor and let them find a good, certified IQ test. I scored very well on a few of those online IQ tests, but I didn't take it seriously because its really only for fun. Its rare for anyone to have an IQ of 140. (Top 99% of population) The average person has about a 100.

the only reason a kid needs testing like that is if they're not being challenged by their school curriculum and testing is required to get them into a gifted program.

an iq of 108 is just about average, if the test is geared for his age group. his iq could be higher if that's what he scored on a test designed for someone older.

whatever his iq is, don't worry about it. doubtless he has things that he's great at and things that he needs to work on (as does everybody). he's not reduceable to a number. go read him a book or let him play with his blocks or run around outside. that's doing a favor that trying to measure and label him will never accomplish.

The IQ test for a six year old is not that complicated. He may have been taking an adult oriented test, especially if you couldn't answer some of the questions. Any competent pediatrician can recommend someone to test your child properly.

However, I would recommend AGAINST testing him. You could place undue pressure on him to succeed or deem him a failure if he is not as intelligent as you thought.

Why not just be happy he's doing good in school and leave it at that? Parents always think their children are geniuses...

They are meaningless - if he enjoys doing the tests that's fine, but don't assume it makes him a genius.

In fact, if he's six and couldn't read the questions for himself, it's most unlikely that he's a genius. Clever six year olds can read fluently.

The test score will not help him. The only kids I knew at school who allegedly had fantastic IQs were arrogant little sods who thought they knew it all and didn't need to work. They got rubbish grades and not one of them went on to any sort of academic success.

Encourage your kid to learn. Especially, encourage him to read! Provided he achieves to the best of his ability, that's all that matters.

Get him tested at a official testing site. Thats the only way to really know your IQ.

Yeah I got a 145 on that tickle test. I'm smart enough not to let it go to my head though, I KNOW it aint accurate but you can call the board of education, health department, or a psychiatrist, and ask for guidance to get a proper test.

Get over it. Hes not the next Einstein. They are multiple choice questions, he probably just happened to choose correctly. Besides, those IQ tests are in no way professional.

I Hope he is smarter than you sound.
