or do i need to apply for any special credit cards which i can use both in INDIA and U.S.A..................

yeah, just let the CC company know where you are going so they don't stop you from using it. I had this happen on vacation once so call them and let them know so they know that the transactions are real

Don't believe that you can use that card world wide - you cannot. I usualy travel with both a Visa and a Master Card and carry debit cards that are on the STAR network. Between them all I can usualy purchase anything I want or get money from an ATM.

Call Visa international with questions at 1-800-847-2911 Or also there is always always a Visa 911 number for when you have an emergency well in a foreign country

visa, mastercard, discover, and american express can be used internationally... unless they are one of those "visa gift cards"
